Gazelle Description The Gazelle is a powerful cutter in a compact metal housing, weighing in at only 9.7 pounds. It boasts of the cutting width and pressure of much more expensive craft cutters. This cutter can run day and night, and not overheat. Although it is not much larger than the smaller cutters on the market, with a footprint of 20 7/8” wide x 7.5"deep x 5 ¼” high, the Gazelle cuts three times as fast, with seven selectable speed settings. It’s cutting width of 12.25” enables users to cut a full 12” wide with room to spare. It will cut roll media up to 100” long, and is equally at home with tiny letters, numbers and shapes. It cuts everything from lightweight printer paper to chipboard and other media up to 1mm thick.

This cutter has some unique features. It has a door that closes when the cutter is not in use, and which houses two drawers for holding blades, pens and other cutter accessories. Its blade holder has new technology that enables the use of many different pen sizes from ¼” to 1/2” in diameter. It also uses a new optical detection system for Print and Cut projects, a feature highly sought after in the cutter community.

The Gazelle is shipping with its own version of Funtime 2010 Software. This software has all of the professional features of Funtime, plus the addition of WYSIWYG screen orientation. Where objects are placed on the screen is where they cut on the mat. The software also includes 700 cutting images in the image gallery, ready to use as is, or to resize or edit according to your needs.

FAQs Q. What is included in the Gazelle shipment? A. The Gazelle is shipped with a mat, a blade, installation CD, manual, printed Quick Start instructions, USB cable, power cable and power supply for US. The power converter works with input from 100 - 220 volts and that should work for you. But you may need the cord that goes from the converter to your wall, if the standard 2-prong cord used with US 110 volt wall outlets will not work for your wall outlets.

Q. What do you suggest that I add to my order? A. It is good to have a couple extra mats, and at least one extra blade on hand, just in case the ones shipped with the machine wear out, and you need another right away.
